oh, hi [old] friends!

i haven't posted on here in ages (the mast head still reads 'summer 2010')! the thing is, i haven't forgotten about the site, i just didn't know what to post/what to write about.

here's the thing...

i've started a new endeavour! i've called it 'heard melodies are sweet' and you can find it at: heard melodies are sweet

since august i have been shooting at least one photograph everyday and digitally archiving it on dailybooth. you can see my photos here: dailybooth and i thought it'd be nice to give them a more permanent, glamourous home. this project has been a challenge and i think that i just need to keep on truckin.' it's not far enough along yet to see what the results hold.

pop on over to heard melodies are sweet and see what's going on!

...the 4x5 blue horse

i forget what emily, sara and i named him.
this is george's horse.
posing in fox harbour, nova scotia.

i shot this with a 4x5 view cam.
in a horse paddock.
me and the 4x5 were not BFF, and will never be BFF.

the studio that started it all...

this is a photo montage of my first year studio space.
(some of the pictures are glitchy, my old macbook had a snack)

i almost gave up painting forever before this class.
i'm kinda glad i didn't.

i see london, i see france...the animated version!

if you have a good memory (or if you scroll down a post or two), you will recall that i made an animation with 400 DSLR photos of my friend claire. this is the result...

it's still without sound unfortunately. i am incredibly incompetent when it comes to video editing apparently. i've made many attempts with no success...so, use your imaginations for now.

p.s I also just noticed that youtube cut off the last few frames.
damn, i suck at technology. i'll keep working on this.
